Under the minimal Direction the IAM Lead Analyst – Epic will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in managing and enhancing user access within the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. This role involves overseeing, mentoring a team of analysts, collaborating with senior IT Leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and implementing best practices to ensure a secure and streamlined access environment. This position requires little or no supervision as they build, maintain the system and exercise independent judgement and discretion in carrying out day-to-day support related activities. This position performs complex design and analysis tasks related to the hospital business operations.


Required qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Health Informatics, or a related field.
2. Three (8) years of IT experience working in a Health Care service delivery.
3. Two (5) years of experience in Epic user access administration and management.
4. Certification in Epic “Security and Access” and “Data Courier”
5. Strong understanding of healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA) and security best practices.
6. Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Electronic Health Record systems and their access management processes.
7. Analysis, build, and design of Epic Security models (Templates, Sub-templates, Security Classes, User Roles, SERs).
8. Experience with automated provisioning tools and identity access management solutions.
9. Understands hospital business operations and structure, general requirements in an integrated delivery system, and use of IT applications in the practicing healthcare environment.
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Preferred qualifications:

1. Epic Certification in one or more application modules (Example: Cadence, Prelude, Willow, or Ambulatory).
2. Understanding of healthcare interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
