• Deliver high-quality counseling and psychotherapy services tailored to meet the individual needs of clients, providing therapeutic interventions that resonate with their specific circumstances.
• Create personalized treatment plans by assessing clients’ needs through a comprehensive evaluation process, ensuring that goals are measurable and collaboratively established.
• Act as a steadfast advocate for clients, guiding them to appropriate resources such as financial assistance, housing support, and community services to enhance their overall therapy experience.
• Provide timely crisis intervention for clients dealing with acute mental health crises, including suicidal ideation or severe trauma responses, taking decisive action to ensure their safety.
• Engage in ongoing education and community outreach initiatives aimed at raising mental health awareness and reducing barriers to care, thereby contributing to a more informed public.
• Maintain accurate and compliant records of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with HIPAA and state regulations, fostering transparency and accountability.
• Participate in regular mentorship sessions aimed at enhancing both clinical skills and personal development, fostering a supportive professional growth environment.

You will primarily work with individuals and families grappling with mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, and interpersonal issues. The diverse population will require you to employ cultural competency and empathy as you navigate varied backgrounds and experiences, tailoring your therapeutic approaches to each client’s unique story.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Current Vermont LCSW license with the capability to practice independently is necessary.
• Exhibition of a compassionate and empathetic approach, particularly in high-stress situations, reflecting a deep commitment to client care.
• Proven experience in delivering therapy to diverse populations, including individuals, couples, and families, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of clinical practices.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical therapy, particularly in settings related to mental health or substance use.
