Location: Remote – Indianapolis, IN area preferred
Employment Type: Full-Time


We are seeking a VoIP Software Engineer to help build and launch a new telecommunications/VoIP business. This is an exciting opportunity for a software developer with a background in VoIP, SIP, telephony, or telecommunications to help build out a new open-source platform from the ground up.


The ideal candidate will have hands-on software development experience with Python and/or JavaScript and a strong understanding of VoIP/SIP technologies.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and maintain software applications using Python, JavaScript, GitLab, etc.
  • Build backend services and RESTful APIs
  • Assist with developing and integrating a new VoIP/telecommunications platform
  • Work with SIP-based telephony integrations
  • Collaborate with telecom and engineering teams on real-time communications features
  • Use GitLab for source control, branching, code reviews, and CI/CD
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues
  • Work with Docker and modern development environments
  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of new features


What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience with Python and/or JavaScript
  • Experience with VoIP, SIP, telephony, or telecommunications
  • Experience with GitLab
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with technical teams
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
