We are currently seeking a Oracle Database Engineer - Remote in US to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

**This position aligns with supporting a 24*7 operations production support model.
Experience Level:
  • 2-6 years of Oracle database administration
  • 1+ year supporting DBaaS in public cloud environments

Support Model:
  • Off-shift / rotating schedule required (24x7 operations)

Role Summary
The Oracle Database Engineer supports Oracle database platforms in public cloud DBaaS environments, performing operational monitoring, maintenance, and recovery activities.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day Oracle database administration and operational support.
  • Execute backup, restore, patching, and upgrade tasks.
  • Monitor and tune Oracle database performance using cloud-native and OEM tools.
  • Support database provisioning, cloning, and decommissioning activities.
  • Assist with Infrastructure-as-Code deployments using approved templates.
  • Perform database refreshes, exports (Data Pump), and imports.
  • Support performance analysis activities:
    • AWR and ASH analysis
    • Wait event and workload review
  • Maintain database logs, storage, and system processes.
  • Support disaster recovery and replication operations.
  • Assist with enforcing database security policies, including:
    • IAM-aligned access controls
    • Encryption and audit logging
  • Document operational activities and configuration changes.
  • Participate in off-shift and rotating coverage for 24x7 support.
  • Escalate issues as required.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of Oracle database administration
  • 1+ year supporting DBaaS in public cloud environments

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this role will depend on the nature of the role offered and will either be $68,000 - $87,000 . Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications.
This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. If the position offered in temporary, the position will not be eligible for incentive compensation.
This position is eligible for company benefits that will depend on the nature of the role offered. Company benefits may include medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending or health savings account, life and AD&D insurance, short and long term disability coverage, paid time off, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program with company match, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
