As an Enrolled Agent, you'll serve as a trusted tax resource for Financial Services Professionals across the country, helping identify tax planning opportunities, prepare and review returns, and deliver practical guidance that supports better client outcomes.
Gradient Financial Group is a financial services organization with twelve specialized entities, including Tax Central, which provides tax planning, preparation, and advisory support to Financial Services Professionals and their clients nationwide.
What You’ll Do
- Provide tax expertise and guidance to Financial Services Professionals, serving as a trusted resource for federal and state tax questions.
- Review and analyze client tax returns to identify errors, missed opportunities, and proactive tax planning strategies.
- Prepare and review individual, business, and fiduciary tax returns for Financial Services Professionals and their clients.
- Research complex tax issues and communicate clear, practical recommendations to support client planning.
- Develop tax planning strategies that help clients minimize tax liability while remaining compliant with current tax laws.
- Create clear, actionable tax resources, training materials, and best practices to help Financial Services Professionals confidently advise their clients.
- Stay current on federal and state tax law changes and communicate relevant updates to internal teams and advisors.
- Represent clients before the IRS, when needed, regarding notices, examinations, and other tax matters.
What you Bring
- 3–7 years of hands-on experience providing individual and/or business tax planning, preparation, and advisory services to clients. Required
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) credential in good standing with the IRS. Required
- Experience preparing and reviewing complex individual, business, trust, and estate tax returns.
- Experience working with tax software (CCH preferred).
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and tax planning strategies.
- Ability to research and interpret complex tax issues and communicate practical recommendations.
- Leverage technology and automation to streamline workflows, enhance accuracy, and prioritize strategic analysis over manual data entry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively support Financial Services Professionals across the United States.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience representing taxpayers before the IRS in audits, notices, and other tax matters is a plus.
