Position Overview

The Psychological Well-Being Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our remote telehealth team. In this full-time role, you will contribute significantly to the mental health and overall well-being of our diverse patient population. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
  • Create pre-crisis and crisis plans, including behavioral guidelines, risk assessments, and positive behavior support plans, to ensure proactive and effective client care.
  • Participate actively in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress, share insights, and refine treatment approaches based on the latest evidence-based practices.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical records, meeting all regulatory standards for compliance and ensuring the continuity of care.
  • Utilize evidence-based screening tools as indicated by clinical protocols, demonstrating adaptability in the utilization of various therapeutic methodologies.
  • Serve as a liaison to relevant service systems, state agencies, and community partners to facilitate holistic care and resource connection for clients.
  • Engage in continuous professional development opportunities such as attending workshops, conferences, and representing the agency in professional forums to enhance your clinical expertise.
  • Promote the organizationโ€™s values, mission, and philosophy through active participation in outreach and community engagement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to ensure the smooth operation of services and enhance client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be working with a diverse clientele, including individuals struggling with mental health disorders, substance use issues, and those affected by developmental disabilities or brain injuries. Your compassionate approach will be pivotal in helping these individuals navigate their challenges, achieve their personal goals, and foster a sense of community belonging while ensuring their emotional resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in a behavioral health field is required for this role.
  • Current and independent LMHC license issued by the state board is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in maintaining client records and preparing detailed clinical reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team setting and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment skills and the capacity to make independent clinical decisions based on professional knowledge.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with telehealth platforms and virtual counseling modalities would be an asset.
  • Prior work with interdisciplinary teams in mental health or related fields is preferred.
