Job description

Fluid's client is seeking a senior frontend engineer to elevate a high-traffic React/TypeScript platform. This role focuses on frontend architecture, developer experience, and guiding best practices across a remote engineering organization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Build and refine complex React/TypeScript SPAs backed by REST APIs
  • Maintain and extend an accessible, reusable design system
  • Lead standards around performance, type-safety, and component architecture
  • Partner with backend, mobile, QA, and product on end-to-end delivery
  • Mentor engineers through pairing, reviews, and technical leadership
  • Ensure reliability through solid testing practices in CI/CD
  • Improve build tooling, test frameworks, and deployment workflows
  • Introduce and evaluate AI-supported dev tools
  • Research emerging frontend tech and recommend solutions

What You Bring

  • ~8+ years building production React/TS applications
  • 2+ years in Staff/Lead capacity driving frontend standards
  • Strong experience integrating REST APIs and managing complex UI state
  • Background in design systems, responsive UI, and design tokens
