Independence Pet Holdings (IPH) is seeking a collaborative, resultsdriven Change Management Director to play a critical role in enabling successful adoption of enterprise transformation initiatives. This role will partner closely with Senior Transformation Program Business Owners, Program Managers, and Senior Business Leaders to ensure business readiness, sustained change adoption, and realization of intended benefits across people, process, and technology.

The Change Management Director will focus on driving organizational change strategy, business process transformation, stakeholder engagement, program communication and change adoption for initiatives centered on modernizing core enterprise systems and operating models. This role is key to ensuring IPH realizes measurable business outcomes that strengthen operational efficiency, scalability, and the customer and petparent experience.

Job Location: Remote or Hybrid - Chicago, IL

Main Responsibilities

Business Change & Adoption

  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management strategies that enable successful adoption of enterprise transformation initiatives.

  • Lead business readiness assessments to identify change impacts, risks, and adoption barriers across people, processes, and technology.

  • Drive sustained adoption of new ways of working through structured change planning, leadership alignment, and reinforcement strategies.

Benefits Realization & Value Delivery

  • Partner with Business Owners and Program Leaders to define, track, and realize intended business benefits tied to transformation initiatives.

  • Establish benefit realization frameworks, success measures, and adoption KPIs to ensure outcomes are realized postimplementation.

  • Support leadership in translating strategic objectives into measurable business outcomes.

Organizational Change Management (OCM)

  • Design and deliver endtoend OCM plans, including stakeholder analysis, change impact assessments, communications, training, and reinforcement strategies.

  • Coach senior leaders and people managers on their role in leading change and reinforcing adoption at scale.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business and technology leaders on change risks, mitigation strategies, and adoption planning.

Change Communications Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and execute an integrated change communications strategy that supports transformation objectives and reinforces consistent messaging across the enterprise.

  • Create targeted communication plans aligned to stakeholder needs, change impacts, and key milestones across the transformation roadmap.

  • Partner with Corporate Communications, HR, and Program Leadership to ensure clear, timely, and consistent messaging across multiple channels.

  • Craft executivelevel messaging, presentations, and talking points to enable senior leaders to effectively sponsor and communicate change.

  • Establish feedback mechanisms (e.g., pulse surveys, listening sessions) to gauge understanding, sentiment, and readiness, adjusting communications as needed.

Business Process Management & Transformation

  • Lead business process analysis, redesign, and optimization efforts aligned to futurestate operating models.

  • Ensure redesigned processes, roles, and controls are clearly defined, documented, and embedded into daytoday operations.

  • Partner with technology teams to align process changes with system capabilities and SaaSbased platforms.

Agile & Transformation Enablement

  • Integrate change management practices into scaled agile (SAFe) delivery models, ensuring change activities are aligned with release cadences.

  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Product Owners, and Agile teams to embed adoption, readiness, and training activities into program execution.

  • Support transformation efforts operating across complex, global, and matrixed organizational environments.

People Leadership

  • Directs the activities and lead team of 3-5 Change Management professionals to develop new methods and solve complex problems across the organization

  • Accountable for the development and performance of the Change Management function within IPH.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Organizational Development, Change Management, or a related field.

  • 15+ years of experience leading business change, organizational change management, or transformation enablement within complex, enterprise environments.

  • 10+ years in a leadership role, guiding and developing the performance of a team of Change Management Professionals

  • Proven experience driving change adoption and business readiness for largescale transformation programs, preferably in insurance, financial services, or regulated industries.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise business process management, operating model design, and endtoend value streams.

  • Demonstrated success enabling benefits realization and measuring adoption outcomes tied to strategic initiatives.

  • Experience operating within agile or scaled agile (SAFe) delivery environments.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence leaders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prosci, SAFe, or other recognized Change Management certifications.

  • Experience supporting insurance platform modernization, core system implementations, or SaaSbased transformations.

  • Exposure to AIenabled business solutions and their organizational impacts.

  • Experience working across global, matrixed organizational structures.

  • Master's degree in Business, Organizational Change, or a related discipline.

  • Integrate change management and communication activities into scaled agile (SAFe) delivery plans and release cadences.

  • Collaborate with Program Managers, Product Owners, and Agile teams to embed adoption and readiness activities into program execution.

  • Support transformation initiatives operating across complex, global, and matrixed organizational environments.
