About Altanova:
Altanova is a leading multidisciplinary consulting firm focused on energy and sustainable innovation. Our Sustainable Infrastructure Development team (SID) combines engineering rigor and advanced analytics to advise corporate clients and large real estate owners. We evaluate and support the implementation of large-scale distributed energy solutions across complex commercial and industrial portfolios. Our team of engineers and consultants is dedicated to help our clients achieve strong economic performance while transforming their environmental and social impact through practical, data-driven solutions.

Role Overview:

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, finance, and strategy, requiring the ability to translate complex technical and market data into clear, actionable decisions. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor to our clients, representing their interests in the evaluation, structuring, and delivery of energy generation and procurement initiatives - from early-stage feasibility analysis through project management.

The role requires strong quantitative skills to evaluate technical constraints, model revenue streams, and support data-driven investment decisions.

The ideal candidate combines technical depth with economic insight and brings a practical, solution-oriented engineering mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the technical feasibility of renewable energy and storage projects across commercial and industrial portfolios.
  • Perform economic modeling and revenue analysis for solar, battery storage, EV charging, and grid flexibility solutions, including evaluation of electricity market participation and ancillary services opportunities.
  • Advise clients on project strategy and coordinate with developers, EPCs, utilities, and energy suppliers to structure commercially and technically optimized solutions.
  • Lead project development and act as Owner's Representative during design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases, ensuring delivery on scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Collaborate with Altanova's software development team to enhance analytical capabilities within internal software suites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or related field (PhD is a plus).
  • 6-8 years of experience in renewable energy project development, distributed energy resources, feasibility analysis, or related infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of solar PV, battery storage systems, generators, cogeneration, or microgrids.
  • Familiarity with EV charging, electricity markets, grid flexibility, or data centers.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with analytics and data science.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary and an exceptional benefits package.
  • Opportunities for rapid professional growth, recognition, and collaborative development in a diverse and inclusive environment of talented professionals working every day on exciting, meaningful projects.
  • The chance to be part of a team committed to making a positive and lasting impact on the environment and society.

Applications without a cover letter will not be considered.
