Job description

Do you know what a bad heat costs a foundry? We're hiring the person who will lead the U.S. launch of an AI platform proven in over 250 foundries internationally, built to attack yield loss, off-spec heats, energy consumption, and scrap.

Inside Job is a B2B sales development firm serving the manufacturing sector. You will be a full-time Inside Job employee dedicated to this account, owning business development for the U.S. foundry market from first conversation to signed contract.

Location: Remote, but we're prioritizing candidates based in the Midwest foundry belt — Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, or Pennsylvania — where most of our accounts are concentrated.

The money: $40,000 base plus uncapped 5% commission. Contracts range $50,000 to $500,000, meaning $2,500 to $25,000 per closed deal. One large account out-earns your base.

What you'll do:

- Own the full sales cycle: prospect, qualify, present, and close, supported by qualified leads from our prospecting team

- Run credible technical conversations with foundry owners, plant managers, metallurgists, and melt deck supervisors

- Translate platform capabilities (melt planning, real-time chemistry correction, furnace optimization, AI defect detection) into ROI

- Travel for foundry site visits and trade shows; manage pipeline in HubSpot

Required qualifications:

- Foundry or metalcasting industry knowledge, from working in one or selling into them. Qualifying backgrounds: foundry operations, metallurgy, melt deck, quality, or sales of refractories, consumables, furnaces, analytical instruments, casting simulation, or foundry software. You should be able to walk a foundry floor and hold your own with a metallurgist

- Evidence you've chosen the commercial side: carried a number, run customer conversations, closed or driven deals

- Proven self-direction in a remote role; willingness to travel

Preferred qualifications:

- SaaS or technology sales into industrial environments; experience selling six-figure capital or software contracts

- Existing U.S. foundry relationships; HubSpot or similar CRM

How to apply: Submit a resume and a brief note describing your foundry or metalcasting background, including the facilities, metals, or products you've worked with.
