This role is entirely remote, providing flexibility to manage your work-life balance while connecting with patients in need. As part of our Detox Center team, you will engage with fellow healthcare professionals in a supportive atmosphere that emphasizes teamwork and shared goals. In addition to a flexible schedule involving day, evening, and weekend shifts, you will potentially participate in on-call responsibilities to support patients as needed.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and collaborate with medical teams to develop holistic and individualized treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions focusing on grief, coping strategies, and emotional support related to substance use disorders.
• Coordinate post-discharge services with community organizations to ensure that patients continue to receive the support they need after leaving our facility.
• Offer critical emotional and educational support to patients and their families about available treatment options and community resources.
• Actively participate in hospital committees, contributing social work insights to enhance interdisciplinary initiatives and optimize patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed, offering immediate counseling and support to patients and family members in distress.
• Develop comprehensive discharge plans that connect patients with appropriate ongoing resources to foster a successful transition from the Detox Center.
• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient interactions in compliance with hospital policies and legal standards, enhancing care continuity.

The Detox Center primarily serves individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol, opioids, and stimulants. Our diverse patient population ranges from those seeking support for the first time to individuals re-engaging with treatment after previous attempts. As an LCSW, you will be instrumental in addressing not just the individual’s substance use challenges, but also their emotional and social needs, providing an empathetic ear and practical support as they navigate their recovery journeys.

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is a must.
• Two years of relevant experience in a healthcare or hospital setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and mental health disorders, particularly pertaining to substance use treatment, is essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate within interdisciplinary teams.

• A background in addiction counseling or substance use recovery programs is highly beneficial.
