• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to gain insights into each patient's trauma history, experiences, and needs.
• Collaboratively develop and execute individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery and foster resilience among patients.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including methods like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each patient's unique needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging an environment where patients feel safe to process trauma, build coping strategies, and embark on their healing journeys.
• Work in close partnership with psychiatrists and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring that physical and mental health needs are synchronized.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a calm and effective response in high-stress situations.
• Engage patients and their families in educational discussions about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and community resources available for ongoing support.
• Maintain stringent compliance with legal and ethical documentation standards to protect patient confidentiality and quality of care.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing training focusing on innovative trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay updated with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance service delivery within the organization.

This role focuses on serving individuals affected by various forms of trauma. Utilizing a patient-centered approach, you will work with clients facing challenges such as PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping them regain control over their lives, develop effective coping methods, and achieve emotional stability.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of New Jersey.
• Solid understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exemplified by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and an ability to work effectively with various computer applications.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field, ideally focused on trauma-focused therapies.
• Experience with diverse therapeutic modalities tailored to trauma recovery.
• Established ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations while providing support to patients.
