Duties
Help

• You will provide fully researched technical products that directly support the scheduling, execution, and certification of work.
• You will communicate prompt and detailed information to keep chain-of command informed on all issues.
• You will conduct investigations aboard ship to obtain information for development of or determine adaptability of working plans.
• You will ensure timely, technically accurate execution of design projects, document or drawing development or planning projects.
• You will be required to have successfully passed a non-nuclear electrical engineering division oral board with a supervisor panel.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing technical work, leading teams, and providing guidance in support of project execution in relation to ship design, overhaul, modification, and manufacturing products.

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
