Mid-Market Sales Manager
The Art of Education University (AOEU) is seeking a sales professional who will play an instrumental role in presenting and introducing our enterprise solutions to mid-market K-12 school districts. This position involves developing and managing opportunities within a certain territory, delivering on an assigned quota, completing assignments or projects as needed, and always representing customers and AOEU's best interests.

The Details
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales plan within the assigned territory/region, develop a healthy and accurate pipeline, and close new business.
  • Responsible for forecasting accurately monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance.
  • Exceed quarterly and annual quotas.
  • Directs the selling activities within an assigned territory, inclusive of resource deployment and the majority of direct communication.
  • Deliver exceptional online and on-site product presentations to both small and large groups.
  • Evaluate market trends, state politics, and legislation for information that affects the current and future growth of regional sales and profitability.
  • Engage potential clients in meaningful discussions regarding their needs and goals in order to cultivate a convincing or persuasive solution presentation.
  • Adaptively present solutions in a consultative approach and advance new business in a complex K-12 business environment.
  • Consistently report on new and expansion business opportunities to strategize on efforts to progress towards a close.
  • Travel up to 15-20% or as needed.

Position Requirements

EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ years of Enterprise or B2B complex sales experience
  • Enterprise software sales experience, preferably in K-12 curriculum and professional learning software platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a variety of technology and technology platforms.
  • Hubspot CRM familiarity is a big plus.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to view computer screens for significant periods of time. The Art of Education University is an online university therefore 95-98% of one's time will be on or using technology.
  • Ability to use a laptop keyboard with accuracy.
  • Ability to hear at normal levels and through electronic devices such as laptops, earbuds, phones, and the like.

The Process
For most roles, the process is as follows:
  • Step 1: ~30-minute phone interview with the hiring manager
  • Step 2: Round 2 packet & Interview
    • Given that this role works remotely, we want to see how you would work through some of the daily tasks, responsibilities, and challenges you might come across through a day-in-the-life. You will be given a prompt and be asked to complete an assignment which will then be used to guide a ~1-hour follow-up Zoom interview with 1-2 stakeholders. The intention is for you to get a sense of the role and give us an opportunity to see your skills in action. Your answers will not be used for any other purposes beyond evaluating your candidacy for this role, as it's important for both of us to get a glimpse of how you would handle a day in the life of this role.
  • Step 3: Follow-up interview
    • For certain managerial or high-collaboration roles, you may be asked to participate in a final Zoom interview.
