What is a remote electronic music producer?

A Remote Electronic Music job typically involves creating, producing, mixing, or teaching electronic music from a remote location, rather than a traditional studio or office. Professionals in this field may work as music producers, sound designers, composers, or instructors, utilizing digital audio workstations and collaboration tools to complete projects online. These jobs allow for flexible work environments, collaboration with artists worldwide, and can include freelance, part-time, or full-time opportunities.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote electronic music producer?

To thrive as a Remote Electronic Music Producer, you need a strong understanding of music theory, audio engineering, and composition, often supported by experience or education in music production. Proficiency with digital audio workstations (DAWs) like Ableton Live, FL Studio, or Logic Pro, as well as familiarity with virtual instruments and sound design plugins, is essential. Creativity, self-motivation, and effective remote communication skills help distinguish successful producers who collaborate and deliver projects independently. These skills are vital for producing high-quality music, meeting client or audience expectations, and sustaining a career in the competitive electronic music industry.

What are some common challenges faced by remote electronic music producers and how can they be overcome?

Remote electronic music producers often face challenges such as maintaining effective collaboration with other musicians or clients, managing time efficiently without in-person supervision, and accessing high-quality virtual instruments or software. To overcome these, it’s important to use reliable cloud-based collaboration tools, establish clear communication routines, and invest in a well-equipped home studio setup. Additionally, joining online music communities can help with networking and feedback, which are valuable for growth and staying motivated.

Job description

Senior Manager, Data Analytics - Marketing

Location: New York (currently hybrid with up to 50% remote)

Your mission in the Marketing team:

At TouchTunes, your work matters, this role goes beyond reporting: it owns the measurement of our consumer marketing and loyalty programs and turns that measurement into clear, actionable insight that shapes decisions. Ultimately this person would help unlock the power of our data as we accelerate growth.

Your day-to-day:

  • Define and lead a scalable marketing analytics roadmap/strategy for marketing and loyalty programs.
  • Partner with Marketing and Finance to set and forecast weekly marketing goals that connect to the commercial business plan, such as total new purchasers, new purchasers from paid, and incremental plays from lifecycle, and build the tracking to measure performance against them.
  • Own the measurement and insight narrative for consumer marketing and loyalty programs: Play Challenges, Special Offers, Team Rewards, and lifecycle campaigns across all loyalty tiers.
  • Act as the strategic analytical partner to Marketing: translate business questions and goals into measurement frameworks, and turn results into clear recommendations that drive decisions, not just dashboards.
  • Automate recurring campaign and lifecycle reporting, applying AI and modern tooling (for example, through Braze, our experimentation stack, and LLM-based workflows) so effort shifts from manual reporting to insight and strategy.
  • Build and maintain lifecycle and retention analysis, including churn modeling and segmentation, and surface the highest-value opportunities to grow and retain our most valuable users.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor's Degree in statistics, data analytics, economics, finance, computer science, engineering, or a related quantitative field
  • 6+ years in marketing analytics, growth analytics, or commercial analytics, with at least 2 years owning measurement methodology rather than only producing reports
  • Strong SQL: writes and optimizes own queries against large event and transaction datasets independently
  • Proficiency in Python for analysis, modeling, and automation (pandas, statistical/ML libraries); comfortable building reproducible analyses in notebooks
  • Strong experience with experimentation and causal measurement: A/B testing, control and holdout design, statistical significance, power analysis, and incrementality
  • Experience building forecasts or planning models tied to business targets
  • Experience with Excel, a BI or analytics platform (Databricks, Tableau, or similar), and product analytics tools such as Mixpanel or Amplitude
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms, such as Braze, including campaign analytics and conversion attribution, strongly preferred
  • Experience with MMPs such as AppsFlyer or Branch, and evaluating paid campaigns across Google, Meta, TikTok and other ad platforms, preferred
  • B2C consumer mobile app experience strongly preferred; loyalty or subscription business experience preferred
  • Experience building churn, retention, or LTV models in a consumer business preferred
  • Proven ability to synthesize data and results, identify trends and key findings, and communicate succinctly to both senior and junior audiences

We foster open communication and collaboration across all levels, with approachable leaders that value all voices and empower you to excel and innovate.
