Remote Electron Js Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Remote Electron Js information

What is a Remote Electron JS Developer?

A Remote Electron JS Developer is a software engineer who specializes in building desktop applications using the Electron framework while working from a location outside of a traditional office. Electron JS allows developers to create cross-platform desktop apps using web technologies like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Remote Electron JS Developers typically collaborate with teams via online tools, contribute to coding and debugging, and ensure that applications run smoothly on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Their role often includes integrating APIs, optimizing performance, and maintaining code quality. This position is ideal for those comfortable with remote work and modern web technologies.

What is the difference between Remote Electron Js vs Remote Front End Developer?

AspectRemote Electron JsRemote Front End Developer
Required SkillsJavaScript, Node.js, Electron frameworkHTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks like React or Angular
Work EnvironmentDesktop app development, cross-platform applicationsWeb applications, websites, UI/UX design
Industry UsageSoftware development, desktop app companiesWeb development agencies, tech startups
CertificationsJavaScript, Electron-specific coursesFront End certifications (e.g., React, Angular)

Remote Electron Js specialists focus on building cross-platform desktop applications using Electron, requiring knowledge of JavaScript and Node.js. In contrast, Remote Front End Developers primarily develop web interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks. While both roles involve JavaScript, Electron Js is specialized for desktop app development, whereas Front End Developers work on web-based projects.

What are some common challenges faced by Remote Electron JS developers and how can they be addressed?

Remote Electron JS developers often encounter challenges such as debugging cross-platform issues, managing application performance, and ensuring smooth communication with distributed teams. Since Electron apps run on multiple operating systems, developers must test thoroughly across environments to catch platform-specific bugs. Additionally, performance optimization requires understanding both front-end and back-end processes. Regular virtual meetings, clear documentation, and use of collaboration tools like Slack or Jira can help overcome remote communication barriers and keep projects on track.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Electron JS Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Electron JS Developer, you need strong proficiency in JavaScript, experience with Electron framework, and a solid understanding of web technologies like HTML, CSS, and Node.js. Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git), debugging tools, and deployment pipelines is typically required, along with knowledge of cross-platform development. Excellent problem-solving abilities, self-motivation, and clear remote communication skills set top performers apart. These competencies ensure efficient development of robust desktop applications and effective collaboration within distributed teams.

Job description

Sr. AI-Native Platform Software Engineer - Full Stack
Job Type: Contract To Hire (3-month)
Location: Fully Remote
Work Setting: Remote
Rate: $100-$200 per hour based upon experience
Position Summary
Unison Systems is looking for a skilled Sr. AI-Native Platform Software Engineer - Full Stack for our client located in Greenwood Village, CO. Our client is a well-funded start-up building the first fully integrated, interoperable, agent-native app engine-a shared operating layer that sits underneath AI-generated software to make it connected, trustworthy, reusable, and economically viable at scale. Working directly with the founders and core team, you will build and scale the product from early stage to a production-ready platform while orchestrating autonomous agent pipelines alongside traditional systems engineering. This role demands mastery of both classic full-stack development and AI-native development, shipping platform primitives-identity, payments, data, agents, and distribution-that every app inherits from day one.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and ship full-stack features across the platform, spanning React frontend, backend services, databases, and infrastructure.
  • Design and implement autonomous development and testing pipelines using AI agents, Playwright tests, and multi-agent orchestration running in parallel.
  • Develop and refine the platform primitives-auth, payments, data, integrations, notifications, and agents-that every app inherits.
  • Integrate LLMs into production systems and manage multi-agent workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product to translate complex platform behavior into polished, intuitive user-facing experiences across web, mobile (React Native), and desktop (Electron).
  • Contribute to the platform's security and trust layer, ensuring shared identity, permissions, and data handling meet a high bar.
  • Reason about complex systems-shared platform primitives, interoperability across apps, and fine-grained permissions-and ship reliable code against that complexity.
  • Work directly with the founders and core team to scale the product from early stage to production-ready platform.

Required Qualifications
  • Senior-level full-stack engineering experience.
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience demonstrated through strong full-stack projects.
  • Strong across the stack: React, Next.js, and TypeScript on the front end; Node or Python services on the back end; and comfortable with databases, APIs, and infrastructure.
  • Fluency with AI coding assistants and agent frameworks-not just casual use, but building autonomous pipelines, managing multi-agent workflows, and integrating LLMs into production systems.
  • Experience setting up end-to-end testing infrastructure (Playwright or similar) as part of automated CI/CD and agent-driven development loops.
  • Ability to reason about complex systems, shared platform primitives, interoperability across apps, and fine-grained permissions, while shipping reliable code against that complexity.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • React Native experience.
  • Real-time/WebSocket-driven interfaces.
  • Contributions to open-source projects.
