Job description

Moseley is hiring for an experienced Electrical Engineer. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you'll work on a wide range of projects and contribute to the calculation, design, layout, and specifications for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and communication systems.
What's Needed: 7-12 years of electrical engineering design experience, preferably with large institutional or commercial projects & a 4-year electrical engineering degree. Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and a solid understanding of related codes and standards (NESC, IBC, and IECC).
We're looking for an experienced, detail-oriented engineer and communicator who thrives in a collaborative A/E environment and is committed to delivering high-quality engineering solutions!
Location: Richmond, VA (Alternate office locations include Charlotte, Raleigh, or Baltimore)

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree from a ABET program
  • 0+ years experience
  • FE or PE Preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a positive professional working relationship with team members while working together in a collaborative, proactive and detail-oriented approach
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for small to medium size projects that may include existing facility evaluations, feasibility studies, and cost estimating
  • Perform detailed calculations to develop construction, installation, and operational standards, specifications, and designs for electrical systems or components
  • Assist in construction administration through conducting site visits
  • Maintain accurate and timely project documentation
  • Confirm all electrical design systems adhere to building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to emerging professionals.

Required Skills:
  • Capable of working in a collaborative team environment to meet specific deadlines
  • Diligence in monitoring progress, identifying potential problems, and designing solutions as necessary
  • Ability to successfully handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical design and life safety system layouts and designs
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems and designs preferred

Compensation: $90,000-$120,000. Annual salary is commensurate with education & experience.
