Job description

Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required. This position is Hybrid/Flex with a minimum of 3 days per week on-site.
Responsibilities for this Position
As an Advanced Electrical Engineer, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for the full lifecycle of complex hardware systems, from initial concepts through detailed design, build, integration and test. This role will support the execution of development programs to deliver robust design solutions that meet stringent Navy requirements.

  • Experience with the engineering development life cycle, including concept, requirements, design, implementation, and test phases
  • Experience designing cable assemblies and wire harnesses for complex electronic systems, including wire sizing, routing, and termination in compliance with MIL-SPEC and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards
  • Working knowledge of common communication interfaces such as RS-422, RS-485, and LVDS
  • Experience in analog and digital circuit design
  • Experience with lab equipment including signal generators, high speed oscilloscopes, and digital logic analyzers
  • Proficiency in all phases of PCB design, including creation of high-level functional and architectural diagrams, SPICE analysis, power analysis, component selection, schematic entry, and working with the PCB layout Team to optimize placement, signal integrity, fitment, etc.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Experience with firmware or microcontrollers a plus
  • Experience with VHDL/Verilog a plus
  • Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects
  • Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals
