What will you do?
As an Electrical Engineer in our Aerospace division in San Diego, you will work with an interdisciplinary team of electrical, optical, mechanical, and software engineers to develop creative solutions for a wide variety of applications.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Develop design concepts for electrical sub-systems
  • Detailed electronics design and prototype builds
  • Embedded software and firmware development
  • Design documentation and presentation
  • Support procurement, integration, and testing

Location
Position is based in San Diego with a hybrid schedule.*
*The hybrid work arrangement is subject to change based on business needs including but not limited to training, performance, or other operational requirements. Any physical location change may impact future employment.
What are we looking for?
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • 2+ years of industry experience with significant design responsibility
  • Analog/Digital circuit design and simulation
  • Experience with PCB design, schematic capture, and layout (Altium preferred)
  • Experience with PCB fabrication and assembly process
  • Design and layout of electrical boxes with a mix of COTS and custom components
  • Competent with test equipment such as: DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers
  • FPGA programming experience (VHDL or Verilog)
  • Experience developing C or C++ for embedded systems
  • Experience with the Git version control system
  • Ability to prepare proposals and presentations and assist with sales meetings as necessary
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to compellingly present technical information to groups
  • Must be a US Person (U.S. Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience with Schematic EDA Software
  • 2+ years of experience with Xilinx Zynq SoCs and related toolchains
  • Experience with embedded Linux and command line tools
  • Experience with: Imaging systems, motion control, or LiDAR
  • Experience with MATLAB and python
  • Experience with design of cable and wire harnesses
  • Soldering and PCB assembly skills
Compensation and Benefits
Electrical Engineer I pay range: $64,600 - $107,667*
Electrical Engineer II pay range: $78,729.66- $127,907.94 *
*This pay range represents base pay. In addition, you may be eligible for additional benefits and compensation.
