Role Overview
Rubix is seeking a Vice President, Global EHS to lead the strategy, governance, and execution of environmental, health, and safety programs across our global AI and digital infrastructure footprint. This role will drive a world-class safety culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and embed risk management across data center development, construction, and operations.
Rubix is part of the Submer Group, delivering the infrastructure and platforms AI runs on, spanning land and power, infrastructure and compute, cloud operations, and applications.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Define and lead the global EHS strategy aligned with Rubix's growth in hyperscale AI infrastructure
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on risk, compliance, and safety performance
Global Program Execution
  • Drive consistent implementation of EHS programs across construction, operations, and facilities
  • Ensure effective controls for high-risk activities (e.g., electrical safety, LOTO, contractor safety, working at heights)
Risk, Compliance & Governance
  • Oversee global regulatory compliance (OSHA, ISO, local requirements) and audit programs
  • Establish KPIs, reporting frameworks, and continuous improvement processes
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate enterprise-level EHS risks
Culture & Organizational Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing global EHS organization
  • Champion a proactive, safety-first culture across all levels of the business
  • Drive training, capability building, and leadership engagement
Stakeholder & External Engagement
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Corporate teams
  • Represent Rubix with regulators, customers, and industry bodies

Qualifications
  • EHS leadership in data centers, infrastructure, energy, or industrial environments
  • Proven experience leading global, multi-site EHS programs at scale
  • Deep expertise in high-risk operational environments and construction safety
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and change management capabilities

Preferred
  • Experience in hyperscale data centers, AI infrastructure, or mission-critical environments
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH)
  • Experience building EHS programs in high-growth or scaling organizations
