Job description

Location: United StatesRemote (field-based; approximately 50-75% travel)
Reports To: Director of Sales - North America & Europe
Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000 USD annual base salary plus target incentive

Who We Are
At UE Systems we believe that every person, regardless of their industry, company size, experience, or budget, should have the tools and support to help their facilities operate more efficiently, reliably, and safely. We do this by providing a portfolio of ultrasound solutions designed to be versatile and simple to use.

Since 1973, we have helped thousands of customers across the world prevent equipment failures, identify energy losses, and return home safe to their families. We are continuing to grow as we build a more disciplined, globally connected operating system to support our customers and our next stage of growth.

About the Role
We are seeking a technically credible, hunter-minded Reliability Sales Manager to rebuild and grow UE Systems’ presence across the Southeast. This person will own the territory, create new pipeline, expand strategic customer relationships, and help maintenance and reliability teams translate ultrasound technology into measurable improvements in uptime, safety, energy efficiency, and asset performance.

This role is ideal for a field-based seller who understands industrial maintenance and reliability, enjoys opening new accounts, and can move comfortably from the plant floor to the executive conference room. The strongest candidates will combine disciplined territory management with the technical confidence to conduct discovery, demonstrate solutions, and build a credible business case for change.

As the Reliability Sales Manager - Southeast, you will be accountable for the full commercial cycle within your assigned territory: territory planning, prospecting, customer discovery, demonstrations, solution design, proposals, forecasting, closing, implementation support, and long-term account development. You will work closely with Sales Leadership, Marketing, Training, Inside Sales, and technical resources to deliver a consistent customer experience and profitable growth. Ideally this position will be based in the AL-MS-LA area in order to service the Southeast Region.

Our People
They Own Their Day:
We do not micro-manage. Our team understands the outcome, makes disciplined decisions, and communicates early when priorities, risks, or constraints change.

They Believe in a Team Approach: No one is expected to be a master of everything. We rely on each other, bring different strengths to the table, and build better systems together.

They Always Look Through a Customer Lens: Every process we build should make it easier to serve the customer accurately, reliably, and on time.

Your Impact

  • Own and execute a Southeast territory plan that increases qualified pipeline, new-logo wins, revenue, and long-term account value.
  • Prospect consistently across priority industrial markets and re-engage inactive or underpenetrated accounts using structured account plans and targeted outreach.
  • Lead consultative discovery with maintenance, reliability, operations, engineering, energy, and EHS stakeholders to identify failure modes, operational risks, and economic impact.
  • Translate customer needs into practical ultrasound solutions spanning hardware, software, training, and services; position ultrasound appropriately within a broader predictive-maintenance program.
  • Conduct onsite evaluations, product demonstrations, proof-of-value engagements, and customer presentations that establish technical credibility and advance opportunities.
  • Develop business cases and proposals that quantify value through avoided downtime, improved lubrication practices, energy-loss reduction, safer inspections, and stronger asset reliability.
  • Manage opportunities end-to-end from qualification through close, maintaining accurate next steps, opportunity values, close dates, and forecasts in HubSpot or the designated CRM.
  • Build relationships across customer organizations, including technicians, reliability engineers, maintenance leaders, plant managers, procurement, finance, and executive sponsors.
  • Partner with Marketing, Training, Inside Sales, Operations, and technical specialists to accelerate customer response, adoption, and expansion.
  • Represent UE Systems at customer sites, industry events, workshops, and professional associations while gathering competitive intelligence and voice-of-customer feedback.
  • Follow all customer-site safety requirements, PPE standards, and UE Systems policies while maintaining a professional, solutions-first approach.
  • Travel regularly throughout the territory, with approximately 50-75% travel depending on customer demand and territory development needs.
Your Experience
  • 5+ years of experience supporting, servicing, or leading maintenance, reliability, predictive maintenance, condition-monitoring, or related plant operations within manufacturing or another asset-intensive environment.
  • Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices, condition-based monitoring, rotating equipment, and common industrial failure modes.
  • Experience with one or more reliability or condition-monitoring technologies, such as ultrasound, vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, motor testing, or precision alignment.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and translate reliability opportunities into operational and financial value for plant-floor, management, and executive audiences.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 75% within the assigned territory while meeting customer-site safety and access requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in industrial B2B, technical, consultative, or solution sales, preferably serving manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, or reliability organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop customer relationships, identify opportunities, manage multiple stakeholders, and influence technical and commercial decisions.
  • Experience conducting customer discovery, technical demonstrations, presentations, or introductory product and application training in industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with commercial disciplines such as opportunity qualification, value-based selling, negotiation, account planning, CRM management, pipeline analysis, and forecasting.
  • Experience selling reliability-focused hardware, software, training, or services into manufacturing, utilities, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, pulp and paper, or other asset-intensive industries.
  • Ultrasound Level I or II certification, CMRP, CRL, or relevant certification in vibration analysis, infrared thermography, lubrication, motor testing, or precision maintenance.
  • Practical experience applying reliability methods such as asset criticality, root-cause analysis, FMEA, Pareto analysis, defect elimination, or failure-elimination planning.
  • Established relationships within the Northeast industrial maintenance, reliability, or manufacturing community.
  • Experience using HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, or a comparable CRM platform.
