About the Position
plus más media is seeking for a highly organized and creative content creator to support the development and testing of new social media amplifier accounts that connect with Gen Z and Millennial Latinos in the U.S.
This role is perfect for someone with experience in content creation, video editing, and social media who is excited to be part of a growing team shaping the future of Latino digital media. The ideal candidate is both a creative thinker and a reliable doer-someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can help bring concepts to life from planning through execution. You'll be part of the process for creating content, data analysis, and experimentation efforts, ensuring amplifier accounts are ready to be tested and evaluated for long-term success. If you're passionate about storytelling, experimenting and uplifting Latino voices through social media, we'd love to hear from you.
Here's what you could expect to do as Digital Media Associate, Growth Strategist (key responsibilities):
  • Full-cycle content creator: Experience creating content from start to finish, including research, scripting, editing, and publishing, particularly for Gen Z and Millennial audiences.
  • Create concepts, write, edit and proofread copies for campaigns and content across digital platforms.
  • Actively follows and engages with Latino pop culture, internet memes, TikTok trends, and political discourse. Has a wide range of interest in cultural topics, e.g. music, movies, gaming, sports, beauty. As well as being very informed on political issues.
  • Understands narrative POVs how to use tone, humor, and visual storytelling to make a political or cultural point in all their video posts.
  • Comfortable creating "amplifier" voices that sound organic, not corporate or advocacy-heavy.
  • Obsessed with testing new formats (carousel, short clips, skits, reaction cuts, subtitled news bites, etc.).
  • Experience being on-camera as a host or personality, bringing energy and authenticity to the content.
  • Data-informed content strategist. Analyzes watch time, retention, and engagement and changing strategy weekly.

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years experience editing and producing videos for social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Strong skills with CapCut, Premiere Rush, or similar.
  • Experience with sound syncing, subtitles, memes, and storytelling pacing for retention.
  • Knows how to make native-feeling videos: jump cuts, text overlays, duets, stitches, trends, reaction formats, etc.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and adaptability skills, capable of overseeing multiple projects and priorities while staying on time.
  • An engaged team player who communicates openly and is committed to contributing at every stage of a project.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with native-level Spanish speaking and writing skills required.

Benefits:
  • $48,000 - $60,000 salary range, with exact salary depending on experience and new staff rarely starting at the top of the range.
  • Flexibility for work and life: Unlike a lot of places, we actually believe that people should only work 40 hours each week, except for occasional sprints that require more time in a week. We also trust everyone to make a schedule that works for them, as long as you're able to join all necessary meetings. Want to work more one day and less the next? Fine by us. Work better in the middle of the night than during the afternoon? Go for it. Need to shift your hours to be able to pick up your kid from school? All good.
  • Health care at the beginning of your employment with individual premiums fully covered and cost-share for dependents. Vision and dental plans are available at-cost to the individual.
  • 15 paid vacation days, 6 paid holidays, 3 paid floating holidays each year and 7.5 paid sick days each year
  • Professional development funds, with renewal of funds each fiscal year
  • Cell phone and internet reimbursement (or co-working reimbursement): We acknowledge that working from home requires using your own internet and phone for work purposes so we offer a set reimbursement amount for cell phone and internet usage. If working from home isn't for you, we also have the option for folks to rent a co-working space and get reimbursed for their monthly costs.
  • Need-based educational loan assistance after 3 months
  • 401K contributions and matching program available at the beginning of your employment
  • Annual office closure during the last week in December

Apply
To apply, please upload your resume and 3 pieces of content that you have created (more than 45 seconds) that best exemplify your content creator skills. For example: short format videos like Tiktok videos, Reels, simple posts, carousels, or YT Shorts.
