Molina Healthcare & Wellness Center is seeking dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to join our team in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient intakes that involve diagnostic and functional evaluations, subsequently making informed recommendations for treatment goals and plans to primary care providers.
  • Facilitate brief and focused therapeutic interventions for patients requiring mental health services, adhering to established productivity targets for billable services weekly.
  • Act as an integral member of the primary care team, assisting in identifying, treating, and managing patients' mental health and psychosocial issues.
  • Monitor patient progress through follow-ups, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary and developing relapse prevention strategies for those at risk.
  • Document patient diagnoses and treatment progress meticulously, keeping accurate clinical records and preparing related reports to support coordinated care.
  • Coordinate health services delivery related to behavioral health care while linking patients with additional treatment providers when needed.
  • Educate patients on self-management techniques and provide them with the knowledge required to actively participate in their treatment and recovery.
  • Provide insights and consultation to clinic management and team members regarding behavioral services and outcomes evaluation.
  • Support patients in complying with medical treatment plans initiated by primary care providers, including strategies for managing medication side effects.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The LPC will work with a diverse patient base, including individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds. The clinic’s focus on community health means that the counselor will engage with patients facing a wide range of mental health challenges, supporting them through crisis situations, chronic conditions, and preventive care. Qualifications
  • A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • A valid and current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in mental health assessment, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, and psychotherapeutic techniques.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate individual patient needs effectively, making independent decisions rooted in professional judgment.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
