OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Financial Services or 401k recordkeeping to join our team. The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to enhance operational efficiency and compliance within the financial sector. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of financial industry regulations, strong analytical skills, and experience in business process modeling.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of business needs and objectives within the Financial Services domain.
  • Conduct detailed business analysis to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Develop and document business process models, workflows, and use cases using tools such as BPMN and MS Visio.
  • Work closely with IT and development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable tasks.
  • Evaluate and recommend solutions that align with business objectives, ensuring compliance with financial industry regulations and standards.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with business units to validate requirements and propose solutions.
  • Perform data analysis to support business decisions, utilizing intermediate SQL skills for querying and reporting financial data.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and process flow diagrams.
  • Assist in the design, testing, and implementation of new processes, systems, and solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring successful adoption and utilization of new systems and processes.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in Financial Services and 401k recordkeeping.

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 3+ years of retirement industry experience.
  • Strong understanding of financial industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in business process modeling and documentation using BPMN and MS Visio.
  • Experience with SQL for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to travel for some office visits.

PREFRRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with financial systems and platforms, including OnBase or similar ECM solutions.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and XML for web form design and integration.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational database management.
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques.
  • Certification in business analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA, etc.) or related fields.
