Allied Health Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to ascertain their mental health status, identifying any underlying issues that may require intervention.
  • Design and implement personalized therapeutic treatment plans that reflect the unique needs and circumstances of each individual, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Provide ongoing support and therapy sessions to clients, guiding them through strategies for coping with various mental health challenges.
  • Facilitate crisis interventions as needed, employing strong crisis management skills to support clients during critical moments.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and progress using electronic health record (EHR) systems, adhering to confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
  • Act as a resource for clients, making referrals to other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists or social workers, when necessary.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client care strategies, share insights, and improve service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse array of clients, including those facing substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, and eating disorders. Qualifications
  • A masterโ€™s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health counseling or clinical settings.
  • Strong understanding of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and the ability to apply culturally responsive practices.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems and the ability to effectively utilize computer applications for documentation and communication.
  • A commitment to professional ethics, maintaining confidentiality, and establishing clear boundaries with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with a diverse client population.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions, with a focus on inclusivity and client empowerment.
