This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to provide essential mental health services from the comfort of your own home while maintaining an impactful presence in our clients' lives. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise to enhance the emotional wellbeing of individuals facing a variety of mental health challenges.

About the Organization

At Diamond Grove Behavioral Health Center, our mission centers around supporting individuals in achieving mental wellness through high-quality therapeutic services. Our community health clinic is dedicated to offering a broad spectrum of mental health support for diverse populations, including adolescents and adults. Our team fosters a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and respect, empowering our therapists to flourish professionally and personally while making a tangible difference in our clients' lives.

Work Environment

This position is aligned with a remote work setting, which enables our therapists to maintain a healthy work-life balance while serving clients remotely via video conferencing, phone sessions, and various digital communication methods. Our team remains connected through regular staff meetings, training sessions, and collaborative care discussions, ensuring that our mental health professionals have a robust support system while working from home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, emotional wellness, and specific needs.
  • Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on each clientโ€™s unique circumstances and therapeutic goals.
  • Provide evidence-based therapy modalities, including individual, family, and group sessions, utilizing methods that may incorporate cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic approaches, and mindfulness techniques.
  • Monitor clients' progress regularly, documenting changes and adapting treatment plans to ensure effective interventions.
  • Offer urgent crisis intervention, establishing rapport quickly to support clients in distress.
  • Maintain meticulous client records that uphold confidentiality, in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary teamโ€”including psychiatrists, case managers, and social workersโ€” to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, conferences, and supervision sessions to enhance therapeutic skills and knowledge.
  • Remain informed about the latest advancements in mental health treatment and integrate innovative practices into your work.
  • Adhere to the ethical guidelines and professional standards as established by relevant licensing boards and professional organizations.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and range from adolescents grappling with anxiety and depression to adults dealing with complex trauma, relationship issues, and severe mental health diagnoses. This role will empower you to affect change on multiple levels, as you will be working with individuals who often encounter significant barriers to accessing quality mental health support. Your efforts will have a direct impact on their improved emotional health and overall quality of life.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a relevant field is required.
  • Active state licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LMFT, LCPC, LCSW).
  • Demonstrated strong clinical assessment skills and diagnostic acumen.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage empathetically and effectively with clients.
  • Ability to work independently, managing a caseload while also collaborating closely with the wider clinical team.
  • Thorough understanding of ethical guidelines governing mental health practice.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional growth within the mental health field.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of three years of clinical experience in mental health counseling is required.
  • Previous experience in a community health setting is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, reflecting the experience and qualifications of the right candidate.
  • Eligibility for performance-based bonuses based on individual and organizational outcomes.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including retirement savings options (401k) to promote financial wellbeing.
  • Generous paid time off policy and paid holidays to ensure work-life balance.
  • Investment in your continued education and professional development, with access to training programs and workshops.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment where your contributions significantly enhance patients' lives.
