Aquent Talent is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Instructional Designer to partner with a leading organization in the financial services industry. This Senior Instructional Designer role places you at the forefront of creating transformative learning experiences. You will directly influence employee capability, ensuring teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in a rapidly evolving environment. Your work will be instrumental in designing programs that not only educate but also inspire, fostering a culture of continuous growth and high performance across various departments. This 12-month contract opportunity offers the chance to contribute significantly to key projects aimed at enhancing talent development initiatives.
What You'll Do
  • Conduct in-depth job-task analyses and needs assessments to identify critical learning objectives and determine optimal training solutions, including performance enhancement strategies like management reinforcement, rewards, role clarity, and job aids.
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts and team members to define individual training program goals, overall program objectives, and specific module objectives, ensuring all training directly boosts employee capability.
  • Apply advanced instructional design theory to craft compelling course content, creating new training programs from conception through formal needs analysis, with some manager guidance.
  • Leverage expertise in adult learning theory to select appropriate training media and methodologies, designing for traditional classrooms, online environments, self-paced e-Learning modules, or blended approaches, utilizing diverse techniques such as group lectures, role-play, simulations, and computer-based training.
  • Partner with e-Learning specialists to develop sophisticated and interactive e-Learning programs and applications.
  • Research, select, and adapt existing training curricula, content, materials, and job aids to meet evolving learning requirements.
  • Review program evaluations, test results, and participant/manager feedback to provide actionable recommendations for continuous program improvement.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Articulate 360.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Prior experience in, or applicable knowledge of, the insurance industry.
  • Prior experience in, or applicable knowledge of, Underwriting processes.
