What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote E-Commerce Web Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote E-Commerce Web Developer, you need strong proficiency in web development languages (such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript), experience with e-commerce platforms (like Shopify, WooCommerce, or Magento), and a solid understanding of UX/UI design and SEO principles. Familiarity with tools such as Git for version control, CMS systems, and relevant certifications in web development or e-commerce platforms are often required. Excellent self-management, problem-solving skills, and effective remote communication are crucial soft skills for success. These abilities ensure reliable, high-quality online store development and maintenance, enabling businesses to achieve their e-commerce goals efficiently in a remote environment.

What are Remote E Commerce Web Developers?

Remote E Commerce Web Developers are professionals who design, build, and maintain online stores and e-commerce platforms while working from a location outside of a traditional office. They use programming languages, frameworks, and content management systems to create user-friendly, secure, and efficient online shopping experiences. These developers often collaborate with teams virtually to implement features like product catalogs, shopping carts, and payment gateways. Their work ensures that businesses can sell products and services online effectively regardless of where the developer is physically located.

How does a remote e-commerce web developer typically collaborate with designers, product managers, and other stakeholders?

As a remote e-commerce web developer, collaboration is often facilitated through project management tools, video conferencing, and instant messaging platforms. You’ll work closely with designers to implement UI/UX elements, coordinate with product managers to align on business goals, and communicate with QA teams to ensure robust functionality. Regular virtual stand-ups and sprint meetings help keep everyone aligned, while shared code repositories and documentation tools streamline teamwork. Strong communication skills and proactive updates are key to successful collaboration in a distributed environment.

  • Qualify leads and identify the right fit for Blayzer's services

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects in our CRM

  • Background in digital agency, ecommerce, or related tech/platform sales is a strong plus

  • Familiarity with digital marketing, web design, or agency services. Enough to have a credible conversation with an SMB owner

  • Experience with CRM platforms; Zoho CRM experience is a plus

  • Comfortable with prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • Strong communication skills by phone and email

  • Paid vacation and sick days

  • Casual dress code
