Overview

The Industrial Business Manager is responsible for leading sales and business development strategies across a designated Industrial Business District. This role is accountable for achieving revenue, profit, and growth objectives through the effective leadership of a team of Industrial Account Managers and Industrial Sales Managers.The successful candidate will develop strategic customer relationships, drive district-level sales and marketing initiatives, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. This leader will coach, mentor, and develop sales talent while delivering customer-focused solutions that drive long-term business success.

Responsibilities

Lead, manage, and develop a team of 8-20+ Industrial Account Managers, with support from Industrial Sales Managers. Drive district sales performance to achieve or exceed revenue, profit, and growth targets. Develop and execute district-level sales and marketing strategies that support overall business unit objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic customers at all levels, from executive leadership to operational and end-user stakeholders. Identify customer needs and provide value-based solutions that strengthen customer partnerships and drive business growth. Collaborate with key decision-makers, buying groups, and tool users to position products, services, and solutions effectively. Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer opportunities to develop strategic business plans. Coach and mentor team members to improve sales effectiveness, customer engagement, and professional development. Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, Masters degree preferred
  • May manage 8 to 20+ remote associates
  • Exceptional communication and team building
  • Successful record of increasing responsibility
  • Strong sales strategizing and Long Range Planning (LRP) familiarity
  • Excellent written & verbal skills
  • Impeccable personal presentation and executive office etiquette
  • Valid driver's license with impeccable driving record
  • Solid knowledge of Traditional industrial marketplace or specific segment such as Government, Education, etc. will be required.
  • Min of 3-5 years (prefer 5+yrs.) outside sales experience is required, preferably in an Industrial or Tool market
  • Must have 3-5 years supervisory experience managing remote outside remote sales force or similar group & successfully managed large projects
  • Must hold all credentials or requirements needed for assigned customer accounts
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite products
  • Travel 60% (some overnight)

Average range $95,000-$ 105,000 annually with additional bonus opportunities. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, location, & other factors.
