ProAg has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer to join our team. We are looking for individuals who want to embrace the advantages of technology and dedicate importance to ensure our software packages are the easiest and most efficient in the industry. Bring your passion for innovation to an Agile environment to help serve quality software products to our farmers, agents, and re-insurers!

You will primarily work with your team and external teams to solve challenging problems, communicate status to stakeholders, implement process changes and maintain existing systems. When viewed from 30,000 feet, this role serves the product team by providing sizings to products owners and technical leadership to a scrum team. Your mission will be to ensure that your team is always sprinting.

This is a hybrid role in our Maple Grove, Minnesota office. Employees report to the office Mondays - Thursdays, with Friday being remote.

In this Exciting Opportunity, You Will:

  • Provide Level of Effort estimates (sizings), document risks and assumptions and complete a prototype if needed.
  • Design your scrum team's technical solutions.
  • Work with the DevOps team to release your team's products.
  • Enforce industry standards and best practices for your team.
  • Collaborate with our Solutions Architecture team.

What You Bring

  • 6 years significant, relevant, and progressive professional experience
  • At least a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or the equivalent education and/or experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in leadership, including strategic planning and setting technical direction.
  • Experience in .NET (framework and core), C#, Javascript, React, Postgress, SQL Server, and Microservice and Event-Driven Architecture.
  • Demonstrated Design and Development Experience
  • Experience with the following: software modeling, data modeling, performance tuning, and application monitoring.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with an emphasis on confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy.

Pay Transparency

The pay range for this position is $130,000 - $145,000 which includes geographic adjustments, where applicable. The pay range is the range THMCC, in good faith, believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting.
