Work Environment

This position operates remotely, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while still offering robust support from your colleagues. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clientsโ€™ mood disorder symptoms, considering severity, frequency, and personal experiences.
  • Collaborate with clients to craft customized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, preferences, and therapeutic needs.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate recovery and improvement.
  • Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment paths, and effective self-care strategies.
  • Monitor patient progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal care and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate an integrated approach to client care.

  • Maintain detailed, confidential documentation of clinical sessions, assessments, and treatment methodologies in accordance with established standards.
  • Engage in regular case consultations and team meetings to refine skills and share insights regarding best practices in client treatment.
  • Actively advocate for client needs and work towards de-stigmatization of mental health issues within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist in this role will work specifically with individuals battling mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, and as such, our approach is grounded in cultural competency and understanding. Your expertise will empower them to navigate their challenges and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure such as LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based treatment techniques for mood disorders, notably CBT and DBT.
