Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of client mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific circumstances.
• Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and others that align with the client’s goals.
• Set clear therapeutic goals in collaboration with clients, tracking their progress throughout the treatment process to ensure effective outcomes.
• Provide teletherapy options, optimizing accessibility for clients with geographic or personal challenges that limit in-person visitations.
• Maintain meticulous documentation to meet ethical standards and facilitate seamless transitions between care providers when necessary.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices, emerging research, and evolving therapeutic techniques.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client base consists of individuals from diverse backgrounds, presenting a broad range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and more. As a Mental Health Counselor at Harris Counseling Services, you will work with clients of various ages and demographics, delivering person-centered care that respects their unique life experiences and cultural contexts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current and valid state license such as LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or PsyD.
• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
• Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients.
• Exemplary compassion and a non-judgmental approach in client interactions.
• Strong organizational abilities and time-management skills to balance client load and administrative duties effectively.

Preferred Experience

Experience working in diverse settings, particularly within community health environments, is preferred. Familiarity with telehealth practices and proficiency in using relevant technology to facilitate virtual sessions will be highly advantageous. Additionally, specialization in trauma-informed care or specific treatment modalities will enhance the contributions to our clients.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
