Overview
Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting Remote Medical Support Assistants (Medical Receptionist) to support the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center located at 500 Foothill Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84148. This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to work onsite if required. Working hours are Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

To address these challenges, we employ intelligent and committed staff who take care of our customers' success as if it is their own.
Responsibilities
  • Schedule appointments in accordance with VA scheduling and consult management directives.
  • Coordinate and authorize Veteran care with community providers when services are unavailable or delayed within the VA.
  • Process community care consults using HealthShare Referral Manager (HSRM), PPMS, and related VA systems.
  • Perform appointment scheduling, tracking, and pre/post appointment outreach.
  • Screen and answer incoming phone calls in a courteous and timely manner.
  • Respond to patient and provider inquiries regarding services.
  • Validate and update patient demographic and insurance information.
  • Process and integrate medical records into CPRS and VistA systems.
  • Communicate with VA providers regarding Community Care procedures and requirements.
  • Monitor scheduling reports, recalls, consults, and access metrics.
  • Document and maintain accurate patient records and correspondence.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word daily.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to Veterans, families, providers, and VA staff.
  • Follow VA privacy, HIPAA, security, and scheduling requirements.
  • Complete an average minimum of 20 cases per day (or as otherwise assigned). [
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Citizen of the United States of America.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must live within 50 miles of the facility
  • Minimum 6 months of customer service experience.
  • Ability to speak clearly, hear and write English.
  • Utilize computer programs appropriately, usually involving spreadsheets, word processing, etc.; log in; type 50 wpm with minimum errors.
  • No health restrictions affecting job performance.
  • Basic medical terminology
  • No sponsorship available

All candidates must be able to:
  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
