• Provide confidential mental health counseling services to cancer patients and their families, ensuring adherence to ethical guidelines and the highest standards of practice.
• Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate clients' mental health conditions and identify their unique needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and therapeutic techniques.
• Develop and execute individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based approaches, integrating both traditional therapies and alternative modalities where appropriate.
• Facilitate support groups that provide peer-to-peer interactions, helping patients share their experiences and build a community of support.
• Collaborate closely with oncologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and provide comprehensive support to patients.
• Participate in regular professional development opportunities, including training workshops and peer supervision sessions, to enhance therapeutic skills and stay updated on best practices in mental health care.

This role focuses primarily on supporting cancer patients at various stages of their journey, including those dealing with the initial diagnosis, treatment, remission, recurrence, and end-of-life care. You will provide emotional support and resources tailored to address the psychological impacts of cancer, ultimately aiming to enhance patient well-being and survivorship.

• A valid and active license as either a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• No history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

• Previous experience working in oncology or with patients facing chronic illness is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual therapy techniques will be a significant asset in this role.
• Experience in conducting group therapy sessions or support groups is preferred.

The salary range for this position is competitive, falling between $100,000 and $105,000 annually, depending on your caseload and experience.
