Job description

At Savant, we're not just acquiring firms-we're helping entrepreneurs navigate one of the most significant transitions of their careers. As our M&A pipeline continues to grow, we're looking for a Due Diligence, Onboarding & Integration Manager to play a critical, high-visibility role at the center of that experience.
This isn't a traditional operations or project management role.
It's part strategist, part relationship builder, part problem solver-and yes, at times, part therapist.
If you thrive in fast-moving environments, love working with people, and want to directly impact the success of growing advisory businesses, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.
In this role, you can expect to focus in the following areas:
Due Diligence:
  • Manage the initial due diligence request list and interview seller
  • Present initial due diligence request list and coordinate data gathering
  • Conduct site visits
  • Follow up with additional due diligence requests as needed
  • Distribute diligence gathered to Integration and M&A Teams
  • Summarize diligence findings CEO, COO, Head of M&A and other key staff as needed

Onboarding:
  • Lead and organize initial discovery sessions with the Integration Team
  • Establish and conduct regular communication with potential partner firms
  • Manage the project plan including status, milestones, and deliverables
  • Facilitate and coordinate Integration Team and sub-group meetings
  • Work with potential partner firm, third parties such as custodians and vendors, and internal staff on all necessary tasks that lead to deal closing

Integration:
  • Initiate project teams to execute systems integration projects (Network, Applications, Operations)
  • Coordinate with Investment teams to plan and initiate portfolio transitions as required
  • Work with internal partners to make sure formal training is initiated post-close
  • Manage and monitor integration work plans with all necessary departments

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Help manage communications across the Integration Team, ensuring the timely distribution of information
  • Act as a catalyst to resolve project issues and escalate when necessary
  • Acts as a liaison between business units, technology teams and support teams
  • Identify risks and solutions for mitigation
  • Support the department's objectives and key results
  • Facilitate and/or participate in onsite meetings at acquired location
  • Perform other duties as requested in support of the Merger and Acquisition function

A couple things to note about the position:
  • High urgency + high visibility: Our M&A pipeline is active and growing-this role is critical to scaling our integration function
  • Build something bigger: This is a key hire, with expectations for additional hires to follow as the team expands
  • Remote, nationwide search: We're focused on finding the best talent-location is flexible
  • Not transactional work: You'll be guiding advisors and their teams through a major life and business transition

The position typically requires the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field from an accredited university, Master's Degree preferred
  • 5-10 or more years proven success in the financial services industry in a similar role
  • Discipline and Focus: Highly organized, disciplined and detail oriented, practices maximum discretion and confidentiality.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of Savant's policies and practices.
  • Agility: Demonstrated ability in working with change in a highly dynamic, high stakes environment. Positive, proactive and action oriented in times of ambiguity. Unshakeable ease with navigating the complex.
  • Execution: Experience driving projects to completion, on time, on target and on budget with measurable results.
  • Communication: Ability to create effective written communications, design engaging presentations and facilitate programs in front of an executive audience. Must demonstrate strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Influence: Ability to build trusting relationships with partners quickly.
  • Learner/Growth Mindset: Enjoys learning; is motivated to learn, improve and problem solve.
  • Team Player: Demonstrates a positive attitude, must be collaborative, team-oriented, transparent and willing to help others.
  • Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook skills

What Sets Savant Apart
  • Collaborative, integrated model across advisory, tax, and planning-no silos
  • Growth-oriented firm, offering meaningful opportunities for career development and long-term impact
  • Values-driven culture, grounded in excellence, integrity, lifelong learning, respect, growth, and servant leadership
  • Majority employee-owned, giving our team a shared stake in our long-term success
