• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' social, emotional, and environmental challenges to formulate effective interventions.
• Craft personalized service plans, continuously monitoring progress and adapting strategies as necessary to ensure client goals are being met.
• Provide individual and family counseling sessions tailored to the unique challenges faced by each client.
• Offer crisis intervention services, carrying out risk assessments and developing safety plans to stabilize clients in immediate distress.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with local agencies, fostering partnerships that enhance access to community resources for clients.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions as part of a culture of professional growth and best practice sharing.
• Lead outreach initiatives aimed at increasing awareness of our services and addressing social issues within the community.

As an LCSW at New Beginnings Counseling, you will work primarily with clients in hospice care, often facing terminal illnesses or significant life transitions. This role requires sensitivity, empathy, and a deep understanding of the complexities involved in end-of-life care. Your ability to build trusting relationships will be essential in supporting clients and their families through emotional and practical challenges.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Tennessee.
• Strong background in mental health services, preferably within a social service agency.
• Awareness of and commitment to social and economic justice issues, in addition to familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
• Exceptional communication skills, cultural competence, and problem-solving abilities are essential for effective client interactions.

• Prior experience working in a hospice or palliative care environment is highly desirable.
• Experience in case management, particularly in addressing complex social challenges.
• Training in crisis intervention and counseling techniques relevant to vulnerable populations.
• Familiarity with community resources and support systems available in Memphis, TN.

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 60,000 to USD 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a sign-on bonus to welcome you aboard.
