Major Giving Officer
Highly Regarded National Nonprofit
Minnesota - Primarily Remote
Total Compensation up to $141,250 per year ($85,000 to $95,000 base with potential flexibility based on experience + Bonus Potential + Benefits)

Terrific Major Gifts Officer role with a highly regarded national nonprofit. This new role will be primarily remote and based in Minnesota. The role offers a total compensation package up to $141,250 (including base + bonus potential + benefits), with potential flexibility based on experience.
The MGO will cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and prospects to grow the major giving portfolio within the region of Wisconsin, Iowa, Minnesota, and the Dakotas. There will be a focus on donors with the capacity to give at the $25k+ level.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide moves management to a major gifts portfolio of current and prospective donors, securing gifts of $25k+
  • Develop and grow the major gifts portfolio for the region by implementing effective cultivation strategies
  • Leverage wealth screening software and the Salesforce CRM for fundraising initiatives
  • Effectively communicate the organization's mission to funders
  • Provide projections and reporting for the donor portfolio
  • Travel to meet with donors and prospects, as needed
Qualifications:
  • Approximately 3 to 5+ years of major gifts fundraising experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; additional experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
  • Experience with individual gifts and multi-year commitments
  • Demonstrated track record utilizing moves management strategies to secure at least 5-figure gifts
  • Go-getter with strong business acumen
  • Ability to story tell and convey the organization's mission in a way that connects with donors
  • History of cultivating strong relationships with donors
  • Collaborative and able to work well as part of a dispersed team
