Remote Disability Management information

What is remote disability management?

Remote disability management refers to the process of overseeing and supporting employees who are on disability leave or require workplace accommodations, done primarily through digital communication tools rather than in-person meetings. Professionals in this field coordinate care, facilitate return-to-work plans, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and company policies—all from a remote location. This approach allows for greater flexibility and accessibility for both employees and employers, often leveraging telehealth services and secure online platforms.

How does a remote disability management professional collaborate with healthcare providers, employers, and employees to facilitate successful return-to-work plans?

As a remote disability management professional, you’ll often coordinate virtually with healthcare providers, employers, and employees to develop and monitor return-to-work strategies. This involves conducting telephonic or video assessments, maintaining regular communication to track progress, and ensuring all parties are aligned on accommodations or transitional duties. Collaboration may include case conferences, digital documentation sharing, and proactive problem-solving to address barriers to return-to-work. Effective communication and relationship-building skills are essential for successful outcomes in this remote, multi-stakeholder environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote disability management specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Disability Management Specialist, you need expertise in disability case management, knowledge of relevant legislation (such as ADA or workers' compensation laws), and a background in healthcare or human resources. Familiarity with case management software, secure communication platforms, and documentation systems is crucial. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills help in effectively supporting clients and coordinating with diverse stakeholders. These skills are important to ensure compliant, efficient, and empathetic management of disability cases from a remote environment.

Remote Disability Management professionals focus on coordinating disability claims, assessing work restrictions, and facilitating return-to-work plans. Remote Case Coordinators handle broader case management tasks, including coordinating healthcare services and supporting patient needs. While both roles require similar healthcare-related certifications and work in remote healthcare or insurance environments, Disability Management specialists specifically target disability claims and return-to-work strategies, making them distinct in their focus and responsibilities.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Partnership Sales Manager to build and scale a revenue-generating partner ecosystem across the Americas.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR Tech, EOR, PEO, payroll, or related industries, with proven experience identifying, developing, and closing opportunities through strategic partnerships, affiliate channels, and reseller relationships.

This role will be responsible for expanding RemotePeople's partner network, generating pipeline, driving revenue through partner-led channels, and developing long-term relationships with key ecosystem players. The successful candidate will leverage their existing network and partnership expertise to accelerate growth across the Americas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and execute a partnership strategy to create a scalable, revenue-generating partner ecosystem across the Americas.
  • Identify, recruit, and onboard strategic partners including PEOs, payroll providers, HR Tech platforms, recruitment agencies, and consulting firms.
  • Leverage existing industry networks to generate new business opportunities and accelerate pipeline growth.
  • Own partner-sourced revenue targets and drive opportunities from partner introduction through close.
  • Develop strong relationships with strategic partners, acting as a trusted advisor and key point of contact.
  • Create enablement strategies, resources, and processes to help partners effectively position and sell RemotePeople's solutions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to develop co-selling and co-marketing initiatives.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Track partner performance, pipeline contribution, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Provide insights to leadership on market opportunities, partner trends, and growth strategies.
  • Continuously improve the partnership playbook to support scalable growth.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key partners across the Americas.
  • Represent RemotePeople at industry events, partner meetings, and customer engagements.
Key Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or sales roles, ideally within HR Tech, EOR, PEO, payroll, or SaaS.
  • 2+ years of experience specifically managing partnerships or partner-driven revenue channels.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets in a quota-carrying role.
  • Strong existing network within the HR Tech, payroll, EOR, or related ecosystem.
  • Experience building partnerships from the ground up and creating scalable processes.
  • Strong understanding of EOR, payroll, and global employment solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience using CRM and sales tools to manage pipeline and performance.
  • Willingness to travel across America (up to 25%) to meet partners and support business development activities.
