Job description

Position Overview

Synergy Counseling is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team on a full-time basis at our Early Intervention Center. This remote position focuses on providing essential mental health support and developmental assistance to children and families, ensuring that all children, especially those from marginalized populations, have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

About the Organization

At Synergy Counseling, we pride ourselves on empowering marginalized communities, giving them the tools and support they need to thrive. Our mission is to recognize and cultivate the unique potential in everyone we engage withโ€”children, families, partners, and our team members. We believe in diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strive to create a work environment where every employee feels valued and can fully express their authentic selves. Our commitment to this mission is reflected in our approach to children's services, particularly for the youngest among us.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, providing flexibility while maintaining a collaborative team atmosphere. You will work closely with a diverse group of professionals, fostering a culture that prioritizes inclusivity and personal growth. Our team uses innovative practices and cutting-edge methodologies to ensure effective early intervention services are delivered. Employees are encouraged to share insights and strategies that enhance team performance and improve outcomes for the children and families we serve.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Synergy Counseling, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments of children to identify developmental delays or disabilities.
  • Participating actively in the development and implementation of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP), ensuring that interventions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each family.
  • Monitoring and assessing progress as an integral part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Providing ongoing support and guidance to families, equipping them with skills and strategies to enhance their childโ€™s developmental trajectory.
  • Establishing strong, trusting relationships with children, their families, and your fellow team members to create a healthy, supportive learning environment.
  • Utilizing the Natural Learning Environment Practices to guide your interventions, ensuring they are effective and family-centered.
  • Complying with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding early intervention services.
  • Developing comprehensive treatment plans that reflect evidence-based practices and are sensitive to the family's cultural context and priorities.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role emphasizes support for very young childrenโ€”specifically babies and toddlersโ€”who experience developmental delays or disabilities. Our aim is to facilitate their growth in physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and communication skills during these critical early years. You will work closely with not only the children but also their families, advocating for their needs and guiding them through challenges as they navigate early intervention services.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • A Masterโ€™s Degree or Doctorate in Social Work.
  • Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in compliance with the Illinois Department of Public Health.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Confidence in adapting therapeutic approaches to suit various learning styles and individual developmental plans.
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to the principles and practices that underpin Natural Learning Environment approaches.
Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates who have:

  • At least one year of hands-on experience working with children in early intervention settings.
  • Bilingual skills to better serve our diverse client base are highly encouraged.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication, ensuring clarity in collaboration with families and team members.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 โ€“ 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • A 401k plan with a company match to support your financial future.
  • Generous paid time off and sick leave policy.
  • Life insurance coverage.
  • Profit-sharing opportunities.
  • Employee discounts with various vendors.
  • Flexible spending accounts and tuition reimbursement programs.
  • Referral bonuses to reward you for bringing talented professionals into our organization.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Synergy Counseling, we are committed to the professional development of our employees. You will have access to training resources, mentorship programs, and opportunities for advancement, allowing you to grow your skills and progress in your career while making a significant impact on your community.

Why Join Our Team

By joining Synergy Counseling, you become part of a dynamic organization dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. We celebrate uniqueness and prioritize creating an equitable workplace. If you are passionate about early intervention and are looking for an environment that values diversity and collaboration, we want to hear from you!
