Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals fluent in Galician and English, with strong skills in transcription, audio analysis, linguistic evaluation, annotation, rubric development, and structured quality review.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured audio evaluation, Galician transcription, language model assessment, linguistic annotation, evaluation standards development, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their Galician language expertise to review audio and video content, produce accurate written outputs, evaluate model responses, and support reliable multilingual audio workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

Galician Audio & Video Transcription

  • Listen to, analyze, and transcribe Galician audio or video content according to detailed task instructions
  • Produce accurate written outputs in Galician, with supporting work in English when required
  • Capture meaning, tone, intent, register, speaker nuance, and regional language variation where relevant
  • Follow formatting, style, and quality guidelines with consistency and precision

Linguistic Evaluation & Rubric Development

  • Help define standards for high-quality responses in general consumer audio contexts
  • Develop or review evaluation rubrics, grading criteria, and task guidelines in Galician and English
  • Identify linguistic nuances, grammatical complexities, ambiguity, and edge cases specific to Galician
  • Support consistency across review workflows, annotation standards, and model evaluation tasks

Model Testing, QA & Structured Feedback

  • Evaluate generated outputs for accuracy, fluency, completeness, instruction-following, and clarity
  • Provide structured feedback on transcription quality, language naturalness, and response usefulness
  • Participate in QA and review cycles to help maintain strong task quality
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • Native or near-native fluency in Galician, including strong spoken and written comprehension
  • Professional fluency in English
  • Strong writing, editing, critical thinking, and language analysis skills
  • Ability to accurately transcribe and evaluate Galician audio across general consumer contexts
  • Comfort following detailed guidelines and working independently within defined timelines
