Job description

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary
  • Paid time off

As Perfectus Labs continues to scale, we need a dedicated strategic leader responsible for ensuring our clients consistently achieve exceptional AEO results. This role exists to bridge the gap between vision and execution by owning client strategy, continuously improving our methodology, and supporting the operations team with deep AEO expertise.
This is not a project management or fulfillment role. It is a strategic leadership position focused on client outcomes, service excellence, and evolving our AEO methodology.
Primary Responsibilities
Client Strategy & Success

  • Develop and lead onboarding strategy for every new client.
  • Partner with Account Managers to ensure each client has a clear roadmap for success.
  • Review underperforming accounts and create recovery plans.
  • Participate in onboarding calls, first-quarter QBRs, and strategic client escalations (establish overall QBR strategy)
  • Help set realistic client expectations and success milestones.
Methodology & Continuous Improvement
  • Continuously evaluate client performance to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Develop new SOPs, playbooks, and deployment strategies as search and AI evolve.
  • Test new AEO techniques and recommend improvements to our methodology.
  • Stay current on AI search platforms, industry changes, and emerging best practices.
Operational Excellence
  • Improve onboarding processes and client workflows.
  • Build systems that identify at-risk accounts before they become client issues.
  • Reduce operational friction through better documentation, templates, and processes.
  • Ensure our delivery methodology scales as the company grows.
Internal Subject Matter Expert
  • Serve as the company's primary AEO strategist.
  • Train and coach internal teams on AEO best practices.
  • Provide guidance to Account Managers and Operations when strategic questions arise.
  • Contribute educational content and internal documentation.
Product & Leadership Collaboration
  • Provide ongoing feedback to Product based on client needs and industry trends.
  • Recommend product enhancements that improve client outcomes.
  • Partner with leadership to execute and refine the company's AEO vision.
  • Contribute thought leadership through articles, industry participation, and internal initiatives.
Success Metrics
Success in this role will be measured by:

  • Maintaining or improving client retention.
  • Reducing strategic client escalations.
  • Faster time to first measurable client results, with a target of under 45 days.
  • Increased client testimonials, case studies, and upgrades.
  • Improved onboarding quality and consistency.
  • Ongoing improvements to our methodology, SOPs, and deployment processes.
  • Strong partnership with Operations, Product, and Account Management.
What This Role Does Not Own

The Director of Search Strategy does not own project management, fulfillment, engineering, pricing, or overall people management. Instead, they own the strategic direction behind client success and ensure our teams are executing the right strategy, not just completing tasks.

This is a remote position.
