A Transformational Leadership Opportunity

Hope Enterprise Corporation (HOPE) is seeking a bold, relationship-driven leader to serve as Senior Vice President, Investor Relations—a pivotal leadership role at the center of one of the nation’s most impactful community development organizations.

This is a rare opportunity to shape and scale a funding strategy that fuels economic mobility for millions across the Deep South. As a key member of the senior leadership team, the SVP will partner directly with the President, CEO, and Board of Directors to mobilize significant philanthropic, institutional, and investor resources in support of HOPE’s mission.

About HOPE

Across the Deep South—a region rich with talent yet marked by persistent barriers to opportunity—HOPE (Hope Enterprise Corporation, Hope Credit Union, and Hope Policy Institute) works to close gaps between potential and access.

Through an integrated model that combines financing, technical assistance, and policy advocacy, HOPE advances solutions that expand access to capital, homeownership, quality healthcare, education, and economic opportunity.

To date, HOPE has reached more than four million people in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee—helping individuals, families, and communities build wealth and thrive.

Position Summary

The Senior Vice President, Investor Relations will set and execute enterprise-wide strategies to secure and steward the diverse sources of funding for operations and lending—philanthropic, public, and private—that power HOPE’s work.

This leader will oversee a high-performing team responsible for raising, deploying, and managing hundreds of millions of dollars annually, including grants, deposits, and debt investments. The SVP will also lead a major capital campaign and cultivate long-term partnerships with foundations, financial institutions, corporations, and impact investors.

The ideal candidate brings a blend of strategic vision, capital markets fluency, and exceptional relationship leadership, along with a deep commitment to advancing economic inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Fund Development

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the President, CEO, and Board Investor Relations Committee to design and execute short- and long-term resource development strategies.
  • Develop and oversee the annual Investor Relations strategy, budget, and performance metrics.

Resource Development & Relationship Management

  • Personally cultivate and steward high-impact relationships with foundation executives, bank leaders, corporate partners, and mission-aligned investors.
  • Expand HOPE’s network of partners, including financial advisors, wealth managers, and institutional investors.
  • Lead the execution of a multi-year capital campaign with eight- to nine-figure goals.

Portfolio Oversight & Compliance

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of resource deployment, including grant funding, deposits, and debt investments.
  • Ensure excellence in proposal development, and reporting.
  • Maintain rigorous compliance with public and private funding requirements, including oversight of more than $300 million in government funding.

Operational Excellence

  • Lead and continuously strengthen Investor Relations systems, processes, and controls to support growth and scalability.
  • Ensure exceptional service delivery to all investors, depositors, and funding partners.
  • Support development of systems to automate and increase accuracy in reporting.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to HOPE’s broader organizational initiatives to strengthen culture, engagement, and performance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience, plus 10 years in a senior level position in the field of development, fundraising and/or investor relations
  • Demonstrated fundraising success
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
  • Ability to lead and direct others

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Proven senior level leadership experience leading complex fundraising, investor relations, or capital development efforts, ideally spanning philanthropy, financial institutions and the public sector.
  • Demonstrated success securing and managing large-scale, multi-source fundraising portfolios (grants, deposits, debt, and/or investment capital).
  • Exceptional relationship builder with credibility among C-suite leaders, institutional investors, and philanthropic partners.
  • Strong strategic, financial, and operational acumen, including familiarity with regulatory and compliance environments.
  • Passion for HOPE’s mission and a deep commitment to advancing economic opportunity in underserved communities.

Why This Role Matters

This is more than a fundraising role—it is an opportunity to architect the flow of resources that drive systemic change across one of the most economically challenged regions of the country.

The SVP will play a defining role in expanding HOPE’s reach, deepening its impact, and ensuring that capital flows to communities that have historically been overlooked.
