This role is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in your work setting. You will have the necessary tools and resources to succeed, including a reliable technology setup to deliver counseling services effectively.

As a Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Providing clinical services tailored to individual needs, applying a recovery-based treatment model.
• Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans through thorough assessments of client needs and progress.
• Working cooperatively with clients to enhance their coping, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Facilitating the creation and monitoring of individual service plans, adjusting them as necessary to reflect evolving needs.
• Educating clients about available community resources and advocating for their access to these vital services.
• Utilizing evidence-based therapies and methodologies to foster positive client outcomes.
• Conducting regular checks on client progress and making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.

Your client focus will primarily be individuals aged 18 and older who are struggling with various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. You will be instrumental in guiding these individuals to regain stability, independence, and quality of life through targeted interventions and support.

To qualify for this role, you must possess:

• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• A current state license (LMFT, LCPC, LCSW, or PsyD) compliant with Nevada regulations.
• The capability to practice independently without supervision.
• Strong ethical standards, including compliance with confidentiality regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a genuine empathy for individuals facing mental health issues.
• Proficiency with digital tools necessary for remote counseling, including a stable Wi-Fi connection.

While the following experiences are not mandatory, they will enhance your candidacy:

• Previous experience in providing direct clinical services in a community health setting.
• Familiarity with diverse therapeutic modalities and skills in conducting assessments.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with clients from varied backgrounds, including exposure to cultural sensitivity training.
• A track record of successful case management and follow-through with client care.
