Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Social Work Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Evaluating diagnoses and psychosocial issues to create tailored treatment plans.
• Conducting comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments aimed at identifying barriers to mental health treatment and enhancing patient recovery.
• Providing ongoing therapy and support through both individual and group modalities, applying evidence-based methods to achieve treatment goals.
• Collaborating with medical and support staff to formulate comprehensive care plans that prioritize patient compliance and enhance care coordination.
• Documenting patient progress and social work activities in their medical records, adhering to departmental standards to ensure accountability and compliance.
• Offering education and support to patients and their families about treatment processes and community resources available for their recovery.
• Staying current on community resources and advocating for patients’ needs within the community to foster self-determination.
• Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your clinical skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients in a detoxification setting who face challenges related to substance use and mental health. You will assess and support diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, ensuring culturally sensitive and developmentally appropriate care. This role is essential in promoting optimal functioning and addressing the unique psychosocial needs associated with recovery from substance use disorders.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license in the state of Texas.
• A robust understanding of ethical practices and the NASW Code of Ethics.
• Demonstrated skills in providing psychotherapeutic interventions and navigating complex psychosocial issues.

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years of practice in a behavioral health or detoxification setting, specifically serving diverse patient populations.

Compensation and Benefits
