Job Description

We are seeking a strategic and analytically-minded Director of Business Systems to lead our Sourcing, Procurement, and Spend Analytics initiatives in a remote capacity across the United States. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the end-to-end Source-to-Pay (S2P) ecosystem, driving operational excellence, cost optimization, and digital transformation across our procurement organization. You will partner with executive leadership to shape procurement strategy, enhance system capabilities, and deliver measurable business impact through data-driven insights and process innovation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct the strategy, implementation, and optimization of Source-to-Pay systems and processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of business systems analysts, procurement specialists, and technical professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
  • Develop and execute comprehensive spend analytics programs to identify cost-saving opportunities, supplier performance insights, and procurement risk mitigation strategies
  • Oversee the integration and management of procurement technology platforms, including ERP systems, e-procurement tools, and analytics solutions
  • Design and implement process improvements across sourcing, procurement, and vendor management functions to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT to align procurement systems with broader business initiatives
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor procurement metrics, spend trends, and system performance
  • Lead vendor management initiatives, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and relationship optimization
  • Champion digital transformation and automation initiatives to streamline procurement workflows and enhance data visibility
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights on procurement performance, cost savings, and strategic recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, or related business operations
  • 5+ years in a director-level or senior management position with demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Source-to-Pay systems, including implementation, configuration, and optimization
  • Experience in Process optimizations using Agentic AI preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in spend analytics, data analysis, and business intelligence tools
  • Expertise in ERP systems (Oracle Fusion cloud)
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract administration
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and drive cost optimization and savings initiatives

PREFERRED

  • Experience with procurement automation and robotic process automation (RPA) technologies
  • Familiarity with supply chain risk management and supplier diversity programs
  • Knowledge of industry frameworks such as APICS, ASCM, or similar procurement certifications
  • Experience with cloud-based procurement solutions and SaaS platforms
  • Background in change management and organizational transformation initiatives
  • Experience in a remote or distributed team environment
