Job description

Position Title: Remote Director of Public Sector Mobility & Transit Partnerships
Salary Range: $115,000-$155,000 base salary / Year, DOE + monthly commission with significant earning potential
Turn your public-sector transportation expertise into mobility programs that change how communities move. This is a senior revenue-driving role focused on building partnerships with cities, counties, and transit agencies throughout California. You'll develop and close complex transportation contracts, build a strong government pipeline, navigate procurement and funding challenges and help public-sector partners bring sustainable mobility programs to life The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of public-sector transportation expertise and proven sales ability - someone who understands how local government makes decisions, knows how to uncover funding opportunities and has the confidence to own a long, complex sales cycle from first conversation through signed contract
Responsibilities
  • Drive new revenue by positioning, selling, and closing mobility solutions with cities, counties, transit agencies, and other local government organizations
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, industry events, conferences and strategic relationship development
  • Own complex sales cycles ranging from approximately four months to 18 months with annual contract values typically ranging from $100K to $2M
  • Develop relationships with public-sector decision-makers, uncover operational challenges and present mobility solutions that address community transportation needs
  • Help prospective clients identify grants, funding programs and other financial resources that can support transportation initiatives
  • Navigate government evaluation, procurement, contracting and implementation processes while keeping opportunities moving toward close
  • Represent the organization at industry meetings, conferences and company events with periodic travel throughout California and occasional national travel

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience within city or county government, transit agencies, transportation planning, public works, parking, mobility, economic development, regional planning or related public-sector transportation environments
  • 100% remote work environment with preference for candidates based in Southern California or elsewhere in California
  • Proven sales experience with a demonstrated ability to sell solutions directly into local government
  • Deep understanding of how cities, counties and public agencies evaluate, fund, procure and implement transportation programs
  • Strong consultative sales skills with the ability to ask thoughtful questions, uncover client pain points and translate challenges into compelling solutions
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Ability to independently manage a territory, pipeline and complex sales process while consistently owning results and exceeding revenue expectations
  • Exceptional presentation, relationship-building and communication skills with the credibility to engage public-sector leaders and decision-makers

Benefits
  • Highly competitive $120K-$150K base salary plus monthly commission with substantial upside
  • 100% employer-paid employee medical coverage with HMO, PPO, and HSA-eligible plan options after 60 days
  • 100% employer-paid employee dental and vision coverage after 60 days
  • 401(k) eligibility after 12 months with company matching
  • Flexible unlimited PTO, paid sick leave, and 11 paid holidays
  • Equity options with long-term upside plus annual performance reviews and salary increases

If you know how public-sector transportation works, know how to sell into government, and want to own meaningful deals that directly impact communities, apply today and bring your expertise to a company redefining local mobility.
