Position Summary
SitelogIQ is seeking a Director of Business Development in the South Business Unit to lead strategic growth initiatives focused on the K12 market in Georgia. As SitelogIQ continues its growth trajectory, we are seeking a dynamic professional experienced in business development who embodies a customer-centric approach and has a proven track record of driving complex consultative solution sales.

The Director of Business Development will lead sales efforts for K12 schools throughout the state of Georgia.ย  These are large, sophisticated construction projects that require a complex selling process and focused customer management.ย  Therefore, we are looking for a seasoned account executive with a consistent track record of success leading and driving high-level solutions.ย  To be successful, the Director of Business Development must be a seasoned sales professional who can drive the process, think creatively, and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplined team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Business Development, this professional will be responsible for the sale and account management of infrastructure solutions including but not limited to building retrofits, controls and automation technology, central plant construction and renovation, new construction, and capital planning.

Key tasks for this professional include the following:

  • Promote the SitelogIQ value proposition to executive level decision makers by providing comprehensive infrastructure solutions for the customerโ€™s business and operational needs.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and business partnerships within the industry.
  • Track and coordinate the delivery of both internal and external project deliverables
  • Lead the sales process, including but not limited to the following:
    • Identify prospective customers through market research and the development of business strategies
    • Implement SitelogIQโ€™s sales process to cultivate relationships while qualifying and closing new opportunities
    • Recommend solutions and link customer needs and objectives
    • Positively influence design and construction with owners
    • Collaborate and partner with SitelogIQโ€™s internal Project Design Engineers. Communicate the vision of the project and work closely on specifications throughout the design phase
    • With support of team, credibly present cost/benefit analysis, financial evaluation, technology and infrastructure options, and differentiators.
    • Prepare customer-facing presentations and written responses to RFQs/RFPs
    • Track customer interaction through the use of SitelogIQโ€™s CRM platform (Salesforce)
    • Coordinate events centered around customer appreciation

Requirements

Sales and Leadership Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
  • Proven success in complex sales and customer management
  • Ability to credibly communicate with executive level decision makers including K-12 school boards and superintendents, facility directors, C-suite leadership, etc
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and communicate findings
  • Problem Solver and Self-Starter with a passion for serving customers
  • Emotional intelligence and intuition

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree required
  • 7+ years of sales experience in the K12 market or corelating experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in the building technology market
  • Construction Industry knowledge
  • Familiarity with accounting and finance principles, procurement, and administration of Georgia public schools
