This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Director of Procurement to manage aspects of our procurement strategy and implementation plan.


The Director of Procurement will manage and optimize the end-to-end procurement operations for our solar energy projects. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for sourcing, contracts, logistics, inventory management, and vendor relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of solar equipment and materials.


Our headquarters is in St. Louis, with an additional office location in Los Angeles. The ability to work from our STL or LA office is a plus factor, but remote-work candidates are also welcomed.


Key Responsibilities:

Director of Procurement Job Description

  • Facilitate end-to-end Procurement strategy for all project's Owner Supplied Equipment
  • Develop sourcing strategies for major equipment such as High Voltage Equipment like Transformers and Breakers as well as Modules, Inverters, Trackers, and other BOS components
  • Negotiate Supply Agreements to optimize costs, risks, and lead times
  • Oversee RFP/RFQ/PO lifecycles including evaluation, award, onboarding, and vendor management
  • Collaborate with other functions to align Procurement activities with corporate goals and project schedules
  • Achieve cost reductions through strategic sourcing
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory compliance such as Domestic Content requirements and HSE standards
  • Manage Logistics strategies such as shipping, warehousing, and deliveries
  • Implement Procurement tools and best practices for efficient workload management and accurate reporting
  • Track purchasing, delivery, logistics, and cashflows for all purchased equipment.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, construction management, or related field; master's preferred.
  • Experience: 4-8 years of procurement experience, preferably in the renewable energy or solar industry.
