Ascension Global Staffing & Executive Search is partnering with a highly respected national litigation firm to identify an Associate Attorney for its growing national practice group. This is a fully remote opportunity, offering attorneys the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States, with the option to utilize one of the firm's 20+ office locations nationwide.

This position presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney to gain substantial litigation experience on complex, high-exposure matters while working alongside nationally recognized trial attorneys. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment and be eager to take on meaningful responsibility from day one.

Position Overview

As an Associate Attorney, you will play an integral role in the defense of complex civil litigation matters. You will work closely with experienced litigators on all phases of case management, from initial investigation through trial preparation and resolution.

Practice Areas Include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses
  • Manage written discovery and document review
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances
  • Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with partners and senior attorneys
  • Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
  • Manage case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedural requirements

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • 1 + years of civil defense litigation experience
  • Experience handling motion practice, discovery, and case management
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral advocacy and communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving
