It offers opportunities in various industries, flexible work arrangements, and potential for growth as technology evolves.

Is AI replacing product designers?

AI tools can assist product designers by automating repetitive tasks and providing data-driven insights, but they do not replace the need for human creativity, user empathy, and strategic thinking. Skills in design software, user research, and understanding AI capabilities remain valuable in this evolving field.

Is 40 too old to become a UX designer?

Remote digital product design is a field open to individuals of all ages, and many successful designers start or transition into the role later in life. Skills such as user research, wireframing, and proficiency with design tools like Figma or Adobe XD are more important than age. Experience from other careers can also provide valuable insights and advantages in UX design.

We've also been featured in Bloomberg, TechCrunch, Insider, Forbes, and other leading publications. Together, we're building something extraordinary-and we're just getting started.
About The Role
At Addition Wealth, design is fundamental to how users interact with and understand their financial lives. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our team and create thoughtful, impactful experiences that empower users to make confident financial decisions.
Our design team works cross-functionally with product managers and engineers to simplify complex financial concepts, translating them into clear, accessible product experiences. This role requires a designer who can effectively identify user problems, explore and vet solutions, and deliver polished designs that balance usability, clarity, and trust.
You will be responsible for owning product areas end-to-end, partnering closely with product and engineering teams to ship significant features, and contributing to the development of our design systems and product foundations. We seek a collaborative, thoughtful, and highly communicative individual who thrives in ambiguity and can craft high-quality experiences that deliver measurable value.
What you bring:
  • 7+ years of experience designing complex digital products.
  • Proven ability to own product areas from problem definition through shipped solutions.
  • Experience in contributing to or building scalable design systems.
  • Strong product thinking and UX fundamentals, with a knack for simplifying complex problems.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and quickly evolving product requirements.
  • Experience collaborating closely with product managers and engineers to deliver high-quality products.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating design decisions and tradeoffs.
  • A collaborative spirit that positively contributes to team culture.

Bonus Points for:
  • Experience designing financial products or fintech experiences.
  • Experience designing for users with varying levels of financial literacy.
  • Experience working on early-stage or fast-growing product teams.

We also offer great benefits & perks including:
  • Competitive salary: We know it's a competitive market out there, and we offer competitive salaries to our employees
  • 401(k) & Employer Match: As a financial health company, we want you to maximize your personal finances. This starts with great retirement savings plans and a match to help you meet your goals.
  • Work from anywhere: We're remote first with a home base in NY.
  • Health insurance & wellness benefits: Flexible healthcare options, including dental and vision, as well as healthcare FSA account.
  • Equity compensation: As an early stage and equity forward company, we have an employee friendly equity plan with outsized equity compared to big tech companies.
  • Generous parental leave: You shouldn't have to choose between work and your family. We recognize the importance of paid parental leave.
  • Unlimited vacation: We believe in sustainable hustle, not burnout. Unlimited vacation days with plenty of company holidays.
  • Company offsites: Team culture is core to our success. As a remote first company, we host regular team events and offsites to keep our team tight knit and fun!
  • Unlimited access to financial professionals: Need advice on your personal finances or taxes? Our Financial Pros are available to you, always.

$140,000 - $190,000 a year
